The James E Lockwood Jr. School of Diving and Underwater Technology at the Florida Keys Community College is once again the backdrop for a Diveheart scuba adventure trip with young people with disabilities from the Illinois Center for Rehabilitation and Education August 12-17…..A Lockwood grant helped the FKCC establish the new Lockwood School as well as scholarships for several Diveheart participants with disabilities this year.

Assisted by her Diveheart Divemaster Dawn, Ashley takes a tour in the Lagoon at the Florida Keys Community College ….she sees better underwater with her special Hydro Optic mask that Diveheart provides for many of its visually impaired divers.

Leaving her Wheelchair behind, Crystal is about to perform a modified front roll entry and take off flying underwater with her Diveheart buddies in the lagoon at the FKCC on her recent Diveheart scuba adventure trip.
