Diveheart Disabled Dive Training Goes to Springfield, IL

Springfield, Illinois Instructors & Divemasters from Adventure Dive & Travel (www.goforadventure.com) undergo Diveheart training to work with local Military Wounded and veterans with disabilities….  The training was held Aug 18 -23 and was made possible from a combined grant from The AMVETS Department of Illinois (www.ilamvets.org ) and the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs. Instructor & shop owner Jeff Fafoglia practices removing and replacing his mask as a right arm amputee would.   Jeff and the other Diveheart students went through extensive empathy training and task loading designed to build confidence and sensitivities when working with individuals with disabilities.
